Forest and territory protagonists at BOSTER, the all-outdoor event dedicated to forestry equipment and the management of agricultural and mountain land. Scheduled from 6 to 8 June in the Cansiglio forest - the plateau between the provinces of Belluno, Treviso and Pordenone - it is the trade fair point of reference for the sector.
Forestry equipment, but not only. Wood is in the foreground at BOSTER, from when it was born in the forest to its many and varied end uses. You can see and touch boilers, fireplaces, fireplaces, stoves and kitchens for the domestic and natural use of wood.
And again: sustainable construction, furniture and wooden houses, machines and accessories for working in the woods, technical clothing, safety equipment at work, fire and accident prevention equipment, tree-climbing. But also measuring tools and software, because forest management today is also done with technology.
We would like to recommend, because it is very interesting and current, the part of forestry equipment dedicated to the theme of wood & energy, with reference to the production of natural woody biomass and the possibility of organizing technical visits to local plants.
Particular attention is focused on renewable energy technologies for the Alpine area. Starting with woody biomass plants, but also special photovoltaic, wind and mini hydroelectric applications also for off-grid solutions.
At BOSTER also the service chain linked to the management of the forest heritage and the territory. Consulting, professional training, sector publishing, research institutions, territorial tourism, wood crafts, food and wine.
It is the first edition of the BOSTER event in the north-east, after the success of BOSTER north-west which in 2012 took place in the Alta Val di Susa in Beaulard di Oulx in the Turin area (here the event returns from 26 to 28 September 2014 ).
BOSTER's audience is certainly the technical users interested in forestry equipment for the production and use of wood, but the event can certainly also be interesting for passionate hobbyists and for the agricultural sector, even small ones.
